Big Day for annoying Fangirls

Lexie

Updated: Feb 17

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 3rd and I am ready to discuss it with you. From the outfits to the performances and wins, let's dive into the music industry's biggest night.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the night
Sabrina Carpenter's performance of "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" was iconic from start to finish. Take a look at some of the photos from the performance:

She finished off the night with two Grammys for "Best Pop Vocal Album" and "Best Pop Solo Performance" which were well-deserved. Her album is a great one, I have listened to it on repeat. However, I do think Billie Eilish's "Hit Me Hard and Soft" deserved it more than "Short n' Sweet"? Billie does some great vocals in the album (especially in "THE GREATEST" and the album overall is a masterpiece. I love them both, but ngl I was rooting more for Billie in this category. That explains why she teared up when the winner was announced.

Back to Sabrina's red carpet look and moments from the night. It's obvious that she takes inspiration from Shirley MacClaine and does it so well too. I mean would you please look at that?
Here's my fav shot of her from the night:

A "pinch-me" moment for Sabrina:

These photos of Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge called me single in a hundred different languages. They stole the show.

Can we talk about this photo right here? This image is the equivalent to the Oscars selfie for me.

Best believe she's still bejeweled

On a side note,
"Eternal Sunshine" by Ariana Grande should've won at least something yesterday but then again it's the Academy we're talking about so no one's surprised. I also really liked Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' cover of "California Dreamin'" and Coldplay's tribute to Liam Payne made my Directioner heart break a million times more. Kendrick Lamar won the Grammy for Record Of The Year for "NOT LIKE US", but my annoying fangirl mind still thinks that Espresso should have won that one. I'm skipping the part about Bianca Censori. I simply refuse to write about it bc what the.... But do you know who would all up even more glam and dazzle into the night? Dua Lipa. She had to be there, but she was probably traveling to different countries with his handsome bf that is Callum Turner. No, I'm not jealous.

All in all, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards was a success and there was not a single man in sight on that stage except Kendrick Lamar who's unproblematic so it's ok. It was a big night for Lexie and the million other fangirls all around the world.
With that being said, bees, we can go on and rub out basic white girl music taste in people's faces even more now. Ha Ha, bye for now!
