Lexie here ♡
Today I decided to give you an overview of my plate. I will break down how I eat, what I eat, and what my food palette consists of on a daily/monthly basis.
**Now, I wanna mention that my relationship with food is not healthy. So, this might be the only post I don't want you - bees to comment on any judgmental thoughts or criticize my eating habits. I also want to state I'm already used to this routine and this is what makes me happy. You may proceed now <3
Breakfast
Breakfasts are THE most important meal of my day. I don't get people who skip breakfast. I literally wouldn't be able to survive without it. I eat a lot and I mean A LOT for breakfast. On weekdays, an egg is a must. I usually eat it with avocado, cheese, or labneh. I up my protein intake on my leg days so two eggs and a whole pack of cottage cheese usually do it for me on those days. I eat three slices of bread because I'm a bread lover and I don't get full by just a single slice. A new habit that I developed to minimize my bread intake in the mornings is to have a whole banana after my breakfast meal. I usually eat it with walnuts or by itself. And it keeps me full. Once a week I make a yogurt bowl. I know everybody does it differently, but I'm going to share the way I do it below:

*I also add bee pollen and sometimes, cinnamon powder or coconut flakes to my yogurt bowl.
On weekends for breakfast, I do tortilla rolls. I make them with my favorite toppings and eat so much that I have my next and last meal at dinnertime. Weekends are the times when I allow myself to have a bagel or some other kind of pastry. I also make shakshuka sometimes on weekends which I enjoy and if I'm not full after all that then a banana comes to save the day. But on weekends, I eat it with almond butter and it hits just the right spot.
Lunch
For lunch, I usually have a salad. There are two types of salads I make right now. Here are the ingredients:

On rare days, when I have a yogurt bowl for breakfast, I have a salmon roll from my fav cafe. I usually try to have white carbs once a day; say I had a sandwich for breakfast, then I won't have any bread, tortillas, or baked goods for the rest of that day. If I don't have a sandwich for breakfast, I will have baked goods for lunch. I try not to have them for dinner, either way. I try to have my last meal at 10:00 PM at the latest, and it's usually a sweet treat or nuts with green tea. Advice: Try to have a 12-hour break between your last meal of the day and the next day's breakfast.
Dinner
Dinner is my second fav meal of the day. I try to make it as healthy and colorful as possible. I always do protein such as chicken or meat whether it's in the form of a meatball or cooked ground beef, or salmon with a side of grains. I love any grain - rice, bulgur, or buckwheat. I roast carrots, red onions, pumpkin, broccoli, and cauliflower. I top it with sliced greens, and voila ✨ The thing with my dinners is that I never get bored of them. I can experience different ingredients and have something different every time.
Snacks
I'm a biiig snack bee. I could survive on snacks for the whole day. If I had an option to choose a big meal or snacks, I would gladly choose snacks. Now, my snack palette isn't as colorful as my food palette. I'm soo picky on snacks, bc well I'm a health addict. Here are my top three snacks.

Desserts
It's been so long since I had a real dessert. I don't do cakes or pies. Anything containing sugar is not my thing. I only eat dark chocolate because it's the best form of chocolate and it's healthy. I sometimes dip almonds in honey and eat it as dessert. Trust me on this, bees. And then again, fruits are the best type of dessert. They're nature's dessert and anyone who says they're unhealthy is out of their minds.

I'm also sharing with you my Pinterest board full of tasty recipes. Check it out and save what looks yummy to you.
That's all I wanna share today with you, bees. Remember that everyone should have their own food palettes and listen to their own bodies. To each their own, as they say. Please don't ever be so strict on yourselves and remember your body needs fuel. Feel free to share your food palettes and recipes in the comments section below, bees ♡
